About Us

In 2010 I was fortunate enough to finally get my own dog, Bertie a Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund. I grew up with dogs but had never been in the position to have my own.

My family has grown! Bentley joined me in 2015,Teddy has been with me since 2016. All are Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshunds. Teddy was born with a cleft palate so needs a bit more attention than my other two. For those of you who are unaware of this condition, it means Teddy has a hole in the roof of his mouth. Whilst this is a condition which can be operated on, the operation is major and the recovery long and difficult.

Therefore, my challenge was finding a food which suited him and meant I did not need to put him through an operation. After many failed attempts I finally settled on a raw diet. Due to the cleft, Teddy does not cope well with wet sloppy food or dry dusty kibble. They go into the hole in the roof of his mouth and he sneezes the food out of his nose! This does not cause him any pain but is not pleasant for him.

December 2018 update! Our family has grown, we were joined on the 01st December 2018 by Stanley. Stanley is a black and tan smooth coat Miniature Dachshund, breed by the fantastic Emeraldax.

The raw diet was a whole new concept for me, and I started looking into it in more detail. My interest in dog nutrition grew, and I decided to undertake a Diploma in Canine Health and Nutrition which I passed in 2018 with Merit.

I have always loved animals, of any description. So after passing my Diploma I decided to start my own business selling natural dog treats. The benefits of a raw diet are becoming more known, but natural treats are still difficult to source. The commercial pet shops are now starting to stock natural treats, however the selection is small. I want to offer a wide selection with information as to why the treat is beneficial.

If you have any questions or need advice please do not hesitate to contact me. If I don't know the answer I will find it for you, you never stop learning.
